Sub-Zero and Wolf Maintenance

Investing in luxury appliances improves the value of your home and the quality of your life. Routine maintenance protects your appliances and ensures they deliver optimal performance for the life of your investment. American Appliance offers several maintenance programs for your Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, which you can read about below. Give us a call or schedule maintenance online to have our Factory Certified technicians efficiently restore your appliances to peak condition.

Sub-Zero Refrigerator Condenser Cleaning

All Sub-Zero refrigerators and wine refrigeration units rely on condensers to stay cool and preserve the food and beverages inside. Over time, dust and debris can accumulate on the condenser coils and prevent the efficient release of heat. When this happens, the refrigerator’s preservation performance declines while both wear and tear and energy usage increases.

Sub-Zero recommends a twice-annual condenser cleaning for all refrigeration products. Your technician will also replace the air and water filters (as needed) and provide a thorough inspection of the rest of the appliance to ensure there are no other issues.

Each condenser cleaning includes:
  • Vacuum condenser
  • Inspect all fans
  • Check switches, gaskets, lights, hinges, and drawer glides
  • Inspect and clean drain pan if accessible
  • Replace air and water filters if needed
  • Firmware updates (when applicable)

Wolf Performance Check

Cooking is as much a science as it is an art. If you want to cook with confidence for your family and friends, it’s critical that your Wolf appliances are in peak form. Wolf recommends an annual inspection of your ovens, ranges, and cooktops to ensure they are well-calibrated and in perfect working order.

The Wolf performance check does not include cleaning, though don’t hesitate to ask us for recommendations on the best way to clean your cooking products.

Each performance check includes:
  • Check all burners for clean ignition
  • Check that all oven elements are operational
  • Perform oven temperature test
  • Check the oven level for even baking
  • Check switches, lights, fans, door gasket and seal
  • Review and fix error codes (if applicable)

Sub-Zero Undercounter Ice Maker Cleaning

When the summer hits, you and your guests will need ice-cold drinks. But before you reach for that scoop, ask yourself: when was your ice machine last cleaned? Sub-Zero recommends an annual cleaning for all undercounter ice machines to remove build-up that can cause cloudy, unsanitary ice. Your technician will also replace the water filter (as needed) and clean the condenser while servicing your ice maker.

In some cases, a deep cleaning of every internal part is needed, a service we perform at our facility. Your technician will determine which service is needed after inspecting the ice machine.

Each ice maker cleaning includes:
  • Clean and sanitize interior
  • Replace water filters
  • Clean condenser coil
  • Check ice quality

Sub-Zero Air and Water Filter Replacement

Sub-Zero recommends that you change your air and water filters every six months to eliminate harmful bacteria, reduce mold and preserve water purity. Click here to order filters and view instructional videos.
